Our first cross-river Parent Social of 2020 was a huge success! It was a wonderful evening as over 170 parents and faculty came together in our first off-campus event of the year.

For the second year running, our Parents and Friends Association (PAFA) organized a remarkable joint parent social event. Our community members from our Hongqiao and Pudong campuses, on either side of the river, joined in on an evening of fun and laughter.
A Parent Social Night
Thanks to the generosity of our very own SCIS parents, Pavlos and Sophia Kontomichalos, their unequivocally beautiful Hellas House played host to the event. Nestled in the heart of the Old French Concession, the venue served as a fantastic backdrop for the evening’s event.
First-timers at Hellas received a guided tour around the gorgeously renovated house. A cleaver BINGO game served as an icebreaker for attendees, followed by raffle prizes sponsored by PAFA and IFUMART coffee. And, jazzing up the evening with her singing was Yuko Kishi.
The overwhelming response from attendees was that these joint Hongqiao-Pudong parent socials, at such beautiful locations, should become a regular fixture on our calendar of events. As such, we can be sure to expect more of these wonderful connection opportunities in the future!
