The priority of the Master Renovation Plan at Shanghai Community International School (SCIS) is student-centered spaces that will provide greater flexibility, variability, and be less restrictive. It aims to provide a more inclusive and inspiring space that resonates with our collective values of community, teamwork, and compassion.
Our goal is to rebuild the campus spaces to increase active engagement and participation, social interactions among teachers and students, and allow for personal reflection and contemplation. The new spaces across all three campuses will be reimagined to enhance:
· Collaboration - Spaces designed to foster meaningful connections through cross-cultural and collaborative exchanges. Empowering students to bond with each other, both in the physical and digital realms, locally and around the globe.
· Creativity - Spaces crafted to ignite creativity, adventure, and innovation through the vibrant interplay of color and light, cultivating lively and captivating surroundings.
· Caring - Creating designs that prioritize students' academic and social needs, offering an authentically student-focused experience.
