SCIS Enhances Literacy Practices

Lower School teachers at Shanghai Community International School had the opportunity to work with two Literacy Consultants from the American International School of Guangzhou on enhancing literacy practices through the implementation of Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop. This approach is based upon decades of research fromTeacher’s College at Columbia University in New York City.

The Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP) has aims to accelerate student’s development as readers and writers, and to help schools such as SCIS maintain a focus on improving teaching and learning.
